Awards

Reporters Club Nepal (RCN) was established with the four objectives of press freedom, promotion of journalists while also honoring accomplished journalists of the country.
In keeping with the stated objectives, it has endowed Tarini Prasad Koirala Journalism Award (Rs.50,000), Martyr Jagat Jung Shah Journalism Prize (Rs.10,000), Babu Chhiri Photo Journalist Award (Rs.25,000), Excellent Journalism Award (Rs.25,000), Tuborg Outstanding Economic Journalist Award (Rs.25,000), Krisha Sen Icchuk Excellent Journalist Award (Rs.25,000) and Mofusal Journalism Award (Rs. 25,000).
The awards are given away every year. Apart from it, RCN honors outstanding senior journalists every year to keep the spirit of journalism alive in them.
